I am a research scientist at Center for Applied Scientific Computing of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). My main research interest is high performance computing using supercomputers, more specifically, programming and compilation techniques for parallel processing, scalable parallel algorithms, fault tolerance in large-scale computing, among others. Prior to joining LLNL in 2017, I was at RIKEN, where I led research projects on high-level programming abstractions for heterogeneous architectures. I received Ph.D. in Computer Science from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2008.
